Bio

Paul Bikis is a Pacific Northwest based photographer who’s passion for the outdoors and nature has led him to a career in extreme sport and adventure photography. Raised in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado’s western slope, Paul has deep roots in the outdoors, that drive his passion and allow him to push the limits of adventure photography, capturing powerful images of raw and truly wild places.

Over the past decade Paul has taken his camera to 13 countries, dangled from anchors, climbed to summits, navigated waterways, raced down trails, and put himself out there in the places he loves to capture angles that few are brave enough to go.

His work has earned publication in Canoe & Kayak Magazine, Klipsun, The Planet, and The Western Front. Paul’s eye for photography has won him awards in Photographer’s Forum Magazine as well as 1st place in the 3rd District Congressional Art Competition, where his work was displayed in the Library of Congress. It has also provided opportunities for commercial work with Black Diamond, Eureka Tents, Jet Boil, Eno Hammocks, and 4-Point Energy Bars .

Paul aims to capture, motivate, and inspire humans to be their best self and consider their relationship with the conservation and preservation of the wild places. Paul is always full of energy helping educate, and inspire his peers daily through his love for life and photography. He is happiest behind the lens traveling, nose deep in a book, or exploring in the backcountry with friends.
